Imagine yourself... You have had a hard day
at work, meeting impossible deadlines dictated by your 'f@#*' boss. On the way home you get stuck in an
hour long traffic jam. By the time you reach home, your head is throbbing,
you park your car and slowly make your way in, only to find your phone
ringing off the hook. Thinking it might be an emergency, since your wife
is not home yet, you run and grab the phone... only to find it is a
telemarketer selling a long distance plan... You explode into the
phone...your mood gets bad for the rest of the evening. This is an every
day occurrence for a lot of people.
On the other hand,
imagine yourself stuck in the same traffic, now you are listening to some
tapes and cds full of jokes or that uplift your mood, and laughing all
along. The time passes very fast. Your head ache is almost gone, and when
you answer that jarring ring of the phone at home, you simply tell off the
telemarketer politely, and enjoy the rest of the evening with your family
having a good time.
Hey, cool down. You
so need to relax... Laugh.
Find some humorous books, watch some funny movies. Crack some Jokes or
just plain relax. Laugh.
Laughter Therapy Tip:

You can either find some
thing funny to help you laugh... or force yourself to laugh unnaturally and keep
doing forced laughter until hysteria or mirth naturally takes over and you
simply cannot stop laughing. Continue laughing for at least 5 - 10 minutes.

If you can practice laughter
in a group - the more the better - because laughter is infective, hence it will
be easier to laugh.

If you are using laughter as a
therapy than laugh continuously for at least 15 minutes every day.

Also follow the rules of
healthy living: exercise regularly ; eat healthy; drink lots of water.

Eliminate stress from your
life - Either meditation or stress relief tapes are quite effective.

Keep happy or joyful thoughts
in your mind all the time.
